PROVISION OF QUALITY EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES WILL BE ENSURED – CHAIRMAN PEFChairman PEF Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi said the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) is committed to the government's mission to give quality education and better opportunities for employment. PEF educational programs will be expanded to provide quality education to children of low income families across Punjab through partner schools so that new opportunities for employment can be generated for the public. He further added that PEF will continue work with the government of Punjab for the relief of deprived sections rescuing from the poverty and illiteracy. The students in partner schools will study in friendly environment for learning.He said this while heading at a meeting in head office while Managing Director Col (R) Imran Yaqoob was also present there. The meeting was also attended by program heads with DMD (Finance) and other Program Heads of the departments gave detailed briefing regarding goals and objectives of their departments.DMD Finance informed about the online transfer of funding process details of partner schools and quarterly and annually regular conduction of audits. He gave details of free text books and its plan of distribution across the province. The Chairman PEF appreciated the data of students with pictures in Student Information System (SIS) and its functionality as presented by Director IT. Heads of the educational programs told about the facilities given to the students under the educational partnership-agreement of partner schools. Director HR & Admin said the Human Resource is backbone of the organization and provides complete administrative and human resource support to facilitate all PEF departments so that remain optimum in provision of quality education and the trainings are also organized to increase the capacity building of employees as well. Director Continuous Professional Development Department said in addition to the financial support to partner schools, the teachers are trained for the modern approaches of teaching under an integrated system of continuous training programs. Director Monitoring and Evaluation Department informed that through monitoring officers appointed at the tehsil level inspection of free education facilities in partner schools are ensured across the Punjab on daily basis. Director Academic Development Unit said that by utilizing PEF resources, in house Quality Assurance Test (QAT) has successfully been started and he shared the monitoring plan of QAT of schools for the current year. During the meeting, a brief documentary made by PEF Communication department was shown to Chairman for orientation of its different educational programs.
